We are in the heart of winter; the sky has grown a white film over the sun, the fallen leaves of autumn have had their decomposition halted by the chill and no matter how much I love this weather – having my hair parted by the frozen air, watching water droplets fall from empty branches, dancing in the rain – I am finding myself missing the early summer morning’s when the air is cool, the sun is warm and the trees dance to the arrhythmic tempo of chirping finches.
All I want to do today is wake up to those dancing silhouettes through my blinded windows, lie in bed and drink green tea in my underpants; remembering that it is Sunday.
