Les Boîtes à Musique

- James Littlejohn

The first and only time time I ever saw snow was when I was 14 on a school excursion, we travelled over an hour to reach the top of Lake Mountain and were only allowed one hour to play in the white gold. For three years after that I begged my parents to take me to the snow each winter, but they never did.
I’m jealous of those who live in cooler climates, those who see snow at Christmas and don’t settle for dense hail in mid-august.
I’ve always found it curious how Christmas is advertised in Australia. We are promised fireplaces, hideous jumpers and meters of snow…yet; it arrives dehydrated and sunburnt at our doorstep in the heart of summer.
This playlist is my tribute to the Christmas I’ve always imagined, and to those people who are lucky enough to experience it.

1. Aurora [Music Box] – Björk

2. Bloom – Llauma

3. Home Sweet Home – Detektivbyrån

4. What Is a Componium?, Pt. 2 – Colleen

5. Father & Son – Your Hand In Mine

6. Nannou – Aphex Twin

P.S: I am sorry for the long wait.  It seems that Frupachino and I became unmotivated in sync.  Since high-school finished the line between procrastination and daily activities has blurred and we aren’t really sure which one is which anymore.
